Patch - the info we had on the Ashlu was that there was a 'Mine' section where quote 'everything is non-pushy and a straightforward portage

We first came across a big walled in drop which we couldn't inspect properly. We made an arduous portage of this and came across big grade 5+ in a deep gorge with siphons all over the place. Hmm. The disconcerting thing was that it was all clearly paddleable, just a step too far for us.
