#1 Life in village - Canal system

Yesterday i returned from home. We live in village. Life in village is much more peaceful than city life.

I m going to start a series, whenever i visit my village i will post about my village. Today i want to tell you about the canal in my village.

Canals are basically used for irrigation but people also use them for washing clothes and take their Buffalo and cows for their bath.

Now its width has been decreased due to lack of water and lack of pressure. In my childhood days we used to play here for hours, specially during hot summer days. Those days were really enjoyable. Nowadays parents do not allow their childern to play here.

This pond is used when their is no water in canal. Now it has been dried because so many snakes have taken birth which can harm the buffalo's. Now it is completely free from snakes. Within few days it will be filled with water.

These sitting banch are provided by government so that people can rest here when they bring their buffalo's for bathing. Many trees have been grown on the bank of the canal by the people of village.
