My Village

Some call it the usual holiday destination,
Others call it-'the abode of the half-educated people,
To some others it's an ancient place-
Which is far away from modernization;
While to some others it's their home-their mother;
But to me it's the best place in the world.

The place which is still in nature's control,
The place where you can enjoy nature,
The place where you can relax-
The place where people don't judge you from your grades-
Or tell you to become either engineer or doctor.
The place where horror stories still exist,
The only place that is not in virtual world's grip;
Yes, that's the best place in the world.

The place where people still visit their neighbours,
The place where children play cricket, football and kabbadi,
Instead of Talking Tom, Temple run and Candy crush;
The place where there is no show off-site
Where people are not egoistic;
The place where you will not be ignored;
The place where Grandma's devils and Angels are still alive,
The place where lanterns and pitchers are still used,
The place where people share and solve their problems-
Instead of posting them on social medias.
Where people still talk and discuss about their day at dinner table-
Instead of using phones or watching televisions;

The place where people socialize without social media,
The place where people have fun without memes,
The place free of fakeness and ignorance,
Where every opinion is considered and every person is taken care of;
Where superstitions and omens are still considered,
The place where people meet to discuss plans and problems-
Instead of creating a group in social media;

The place where you won't be called uneducated;
The place where memories are made instead of taking selfies,
Yes, that's the most beautiful place in the world;
It's name may not be mentioned in any map,
But here it stand-up
Proud and strong;
That's my village.
