i dont think in near future most of alt going to be traded in fiat. but i think other alternatives for bitcoin must arrive in the matter of base exchange currency. So whenever btc goes down or up alts wont effect by it. i mean a real major base exchange currency, the more options out there the more alts will be independent. just my opn
