Don't Forget To Keep These Items In Your Emergency First Aid Kit!

Yesterday my post was about important things to keep for longer term use around your home for extended emergencies. Today I'd like to cover a few things that you need to have on hand for emergency first aid needs. All of these items can be found very inexpensive at Walmart or the Dollar Tree store.

I addressed candles yesterday, but here is a great option you can find at the dollar store.

Aspirin with caffeine, similar to Excedrin or Bayer body and back relief.

Tylenol for those aches and pains that you don't want aspirin or caffeine for.

Carmex is great for dry skin as well as lips and skin chapped from the wind.

Super Glue can be used to help keep wounds closed in conjunction with bandages or when you are out of bandages.

Hydrogen Peroxide will help to keep wounds from getting infected and keep the area around the wound clean.

Rubbing Alcohol will also keep the wound area clean and help to sterilize any tools or wound cleaning supplies needed for use during an emergency.

Hand Wipes will help to keep germs down and surfaces safe when other forms of sanitizing tools aren't available, and it will help to make you feel cleaner when your hands are clean.

Other important items to have in your kit, scissors, ace bandage wraps, antibiotic ointment, antacids like tums or rolaids. Wound gauze and masks are also important items to have available along with tape, both cloth and pressure.
