Chicken Adobo is a popular dish in Philippine cuisine, It's really easy to prepare. It has sometimes been considered as the unofficial national dish in the Philippines
• 1 kl. chicken (any parts)
• 2 pieces dried bay leaves
• 1 tbsp peppercorn
• 5 tbsp soy sauce
• 2 tbsp vinegar
• 3 cloves garlic (minced)
• 1 piece onion (minced)
• 1 cup water
• ¼ cup cooking oil
• 1 tablespoon brown sugar
• Salt and pepper to taste
- Place the cooking oil in a pan and heat
- When the oil is hot, put-in the garlic and onion sauté for about 2 minutes.
- Place the chicken, then add the soy sauce and water. Bring to a boil
- Add the dried bay leaves and peppercorn then simmer until the chicken is tender (about 20 minutes).
- add vinegar, salt and pepper then stir. Turn the heat off.
- Serve hot, Enjoy!
