Chicken Adobo

Chicken Adobo is a popular dish in Philippine cuisine, It's really easy to prepare. It has sometimes been considered as the unofficial national dish in the Philippines

• 1 kl. chicken (any parts)
• 2 pieces dried bay leaves
• 1 tbsp peppercorn
• 5 tbsp soy sauce
• 2 tbsp vinegar
• 3 cloves garlic (minced)
• 1 piece onion (minced)
• 1 cup water
• ¼ cup cooking oil
• 1 tablespoon brown sugar
• Salt and pepper to taste

  1. Place the cooking oil in a pan and heat
  2. When the oil is hot, put-in the garlic and onion sauté for about 2 minutes.
  3. Place the chicken, then add the soy sauce and water. Bring to a boil
  4. Add the dried bay leaves and peppercorn then simmer until the chicken is tender (about 20 minutes).
  5. add vinegar, salt and pepper then stir. Turn the heat off.
  6. Serve hot, Enjoy!
