SteamFest located in Sheffield Tasmania brings history to life with one of the biggest collections of working steam machinery in Australia, steam train rides, pioneering skills such as blacksmithing, historic machinery like traction engines, steam powered threshers and rock crushers showing how things were done in the past, including vintage cars, tractor pulling competition, old wares for sale etc.
I will endeavour to bring SteamFest to you through photography. I hope you will enjoy following me along for the day at SteamFest. This will be a multi post edition. Thank you for looking.

It must be a huge job to feed that machine to work, and the tazmania demons still exist ??

Yes it would be a big job feeding those steam machines. And will still have the Tasmanian Devils:)

Awesome display, would be very cool to see some of that old equipment run up. I bet they run very quietly. I've worked with Lister diesels before, didn't realize that they made steam engines. Thanks for the post, looking forward to the next instalment.

I did take video of some of these machines running. If i can get Dtube to work i will put them up there. I have sofar been unable to get Dtube to work for me.

You always bring to us amazing posts and shows. I know I will love the steam fest show too. You should try to name them too just like the Tasmania show pics or number them. It will be easier for us to tell you which one I liked most. Thanks for the great work posted here and keep bringing to us this great work.

I did think about naming everything but i don't know much about old steem engines etc like i do cars. I will name them if i know them.

Oh! It's OK.

Glad to bring them to everyone here.

nice

I would imagine, deep in Tassie, off the grid, in amongst the trees, one could live quite easily off of steam and steem :)
Peace.

Yes most definitely.
