This is not the poem Blot On Humanity, by Hasmukhlal Amathalallal. This is not a poem at all, but a crime in Maharashtra, where a hotelier husband and his pregnant wife were robbed of cash and gold ornaments on July 31, 2018.
The couple named four accused as Mane, Sagar, Javed Khan and Vinod from the gang of eight in the FIR for assaulting their victims with pipes and sticks. The criminals tied the husband, gagged and locked him in his own vehicle while they gang-raped the pregnant woman as she pleaded for mercy.
In the world of politics, the opposition leader Chitra Wagh from NCP termed the case as 'A Blot on Humanity'.
How Did The Predators Search Out Their Preys?
Mukund Mane, one of the accused, had called the hotelier to a place in Turchi Phata, informing him that certain aspirants want to work for them. The caller also asked him to bring Rs. 20,000-advance payment. That's how the criminals waylaid their victims. They pounced on their latest preys when they showed up at the spot.
The rest is statistical history... When will such blots on humanity be stopped? We may have 100 answers but silence will never be one of them.
