The bitcoin-purse, associated with the Petya.A virus, was transferred more than 3.2 thousand dollars five hours after the attack. This follows from the open information of the blockbuster,https://blockchain.info/address/1Mz7153HMuxXTuR2R1t78mGSdzaAtNbBWX
In all known cases of the attack of the Petya.A virus, the same bitcoin-purse was indicated in the message on the computer screen. The first transfers to it began to arrive about three hours after the attack began.
At 18:00 Moscow time this bitcoin-purse received only nine transfers, each of them with a face value equivalent to approximately $ 300 - so many criminals demand for the decryption of files. In total, taking into account the commission for transfers, the victims transferred about 3.4 thousand dollars to hackers.
About cases of restoration of access to the encrypted virus Petya.A files have not yet been reported.
The attack of the extortion virus Petya.A began on June 27 at approximately 11 am Moscow time. First it became known that the virus affected large energy companies and banks of Ukraine, and later the attack spread to Russian companies.
June 28 - Constitution Day of Ukraine. Some Ukrainian officials see the trail of Russian special services in the attack of the Petya.A virus. Evidence for this is not.
It is known that Petya.A works on a principle similar to the WannaCry virus: it encrypts files on the hard disk and thereby blocks access to them, demanding ransom in bitcoins for recovery. Attack WannaCry began May 12 with the UK.
