Tornados, Earthquakes and a Deadly Virus...

in virustimes •  5 years ago

These are my normal days now... :)

Well this post is a light hearted attempt at making fun of my day to hide the fact it is stressing me out a little.

The weather here has been Northwest Spring weird. It always is.. That's not new for Spring here. We say, don't like the weather, wait 10 minutes. Today was a mix of sunny with wild thunder storms passing through. We even had an extremely rare tornado touch down.

After coming back inside where I have been hiding from a deadly virus for a couple of weeks, I noticed the house was rattling and shaking... It wasn't much.. but it was obvious and felt like it lasted for a long time.

A quick check of the Earthquake sites showed nothing, but soon after on twitter and in my chat channel on Discord. I assumed it was in Washington, but it seems the center was in Idaho.

While quakes are very rare here there was really no damage. The best action picture I could find is this..

Reporting from Washington, feeling mostly calm, ready for anything...

Have fun and stay safe down there. Here we have minus 18 C and 10 cm of fresh snow.
And corona, of course.

Ha, wow. So much happening at the same time. If we survive 2020 we'll be ready for anything :D

(Most bizarre thing I've experienced today: seeing my boyfriend use scissors to cut out a paper made celebration mask because his company wanted to celebrate 20 years of existence and they couldn't give a party for obvious reasons - so now they're video calling while all wearing a mask, lol. And no, my thing doesn't compare to yours.)

Oh, but I like your story better. I am glad people are finding creative ways to get together and bond.

You forgot the astroide due for the end of april.

lol you are right

oh seems like strange things happening all around the world now.. hope you and family stay safe and stay strong ❤

I’ve sorta gotten used to earthquakes and typhoons but that tornado looks darn scary. I wouldn’t go out and try to beat one of those, no.
