You probably did not know or even expected that you need a visa to visit these sites. Until recently Albanians needed a visa to move to Europe, something that fortunately changed.
There are still places where the entrance is not free. More than your passport you need to have a visa, and this rule is not just for Albanians, but for Americans as well.
