Flooded roads from Hurricane Laura could cut off Grand Isle and Port Fourchon for days

Port Fourchon, the service hub for most of the offshore oil and gas production in the northern Gulf of Mexico, is facing what could be its longest closure ever.

Interesting article about the recent hurricane that hit Louisiana and what the aftermath might be like. There's a lot of damage from a storm that has far reaching effects. I'm glad that I'm hearing the damage wasn't as bad as it could have been, but it still was pretty bad. And these coastal towns are so fragile. I'm hoping that that's it for the hurricanes hitting the area this year, at least the Louisiana area, that's two in a week. Stay safe everyone.
