VJ LIVE! Ep. 50: Steemit and the Healing Power of Crypto w/ @Kaliju!

in vjlive •  6 years ago

A very special anniversary type show tonight with my good friend @kaliju.

Kali has recently been through a bit of an ordeal health-wise and talks in this video about what happened, where he's at now, and how the crypto community on Steem is coming through for him in a pinch.

Topics from tonight's livestream include:

  • Cryptocurrency adoption, regulation, and innovation
  • Bitcoin Core vs. Bitcoin Cash debate / Roger Ver
  • The tight-knit community, and other inspiring aspects of the Steemit platform
  • Blockchain as "Internet 2.0"
  • Crypto in Korea
  • Voluntaryism
  • Merchant adoption of SBD in Korea!
  • Kali's successful @reviewme feature which is taking off on Steemit

All this and much, much more. Enjoy the show!

(NOTE: I am still in the process of finding a single platform to host the show. My aim is to gradually move the whole show over to DLive, where it can find its new home. Slowly but surely we are getting there. Please bear with me during this slightly bumpy transition phase.)

I was listening live starting about 1/3rd of the way through.
Heard you drop my name too!
@kaliju seems like a great guy

Thanks for tuning in! Yeah, @kaliju is a great guy, and a deep thinker. Was glad to name drop as you are awesome!

Time flew fast in this episode! Can't believe it's a 50th anniversary :D Thanks for having me today, wish I was in a better shape for this session!

You made the show, my friend. Sometimes just me talking to the camera, as much as I love it, can be a little...repetitive.

@voluntaryjapan and @kaliju It was an great and open minded conversion for sure, and yes Steemit is an platform where communities can stand together with whatever possible contributions they can.

And as @kaliju said, it's all about fundamentals, it's not just blogging Steemit can be an initiative where actions can be taken so reactively and these are the needed sources for sure.

@voluntaryjapan, i want to appreciate your job, and most of the people are engaged with words but but we need action and in my opinion you are action oriented and wherever you are standing today that is due to your enthusiasm to make an difference and it's inspiring aspect for sure.

So keep up this job and more great paths will be opened up and collectively we can showcase blink of light in the darkness, and it's just not about one individual, revolutions are made by the mixed hands.

Wishing you an great day and stay blessed. 🙂

Cheers!
