Mark Twain once said that if the first thing you do each morning is to eat a live frog, you can go through the day with the satisfaction of knowing that that is probably the worst thing that is going to happen to you all day long.
Brian Tracy took this concept further by using the "Frog" as a metaphor for the most distasteful thing in your professional or personal life.
The idea is that if you move the most distasteful thing to the beginning of your day, you can stop procrastinating, and move that thing out of the way. It's disgusting...It's downright nasty. You might have to flush it down with something...but once it's gone...It's GONE!
So, here's my challenge to you.
Pick the one thing you should be doing daily that you've been avoiding. (Maybe the #1 thing in different categories of your life)
Make it the main course of your day (EARLY). The idea is to confront it head-on.
Create accountability to ensure that you do it. Example: Call a friend to check-in upon completion, or make a video or post checking in. This could be easy content for your dtube/steem channel
Try to create a "streak" to help develop a habit.
What you'll recognize is that it gets easier and easier to "Eat That Frog". You'll gain mental super-powers by overcoming what you perceived to be a HUGE obstacle.
- Share with me what your "Frog" is.
- Take the Challenge
- Make a video about it.
