Dear friends of the community, greetings!!
Although the first two installments grossed a combined $3 billion at the box office, it would be fair to say that Jurassic World Dominion's main selling point is returning to the original cast reunited to run away from dinosaurs for the first time after nearly 30 years.
Some fans were disappointed when Jeff Goldblum appeared in all the marketing for Fallen Kingdom, with his Ian Malcolm only appearing in a couple of expository scenes. However, Colin Trevorrow won't be making that mistake, as the veteran actor will have a large screen share alongside Sam Neill and Laura Dern.
So, in the latest issue of Empire, Dern explains why the "Dominion" director wanted to make sure the O.G. trio got back together, and there's also an accompanying new image that you can see below.
"Colin really wanted it to be important. We found out what it would feel like if these three characters were back together, and how they would feel about each other. And it's delightful."
The pandemic may still be affecting the film industry, but big-budget blockbusters are proving increasingly immune, as "Sonic the Hedgehog" proved last weekend. Already, "Jurassic World Dominion" is poised to be one of the major cinematic events of the year in more ways than one, and it shouldn't be long before another full trailer for an unsuspecting world appears.
