Didn't know you had a YouTube channel. I just became your 339th subscriber. I'm not sure I understand the delegate of steem power or how one becomes a "whale." Actually....I am sure. Haha...don't know about legendary. Thanks for the reply. I really like the Steemit platform but I wish they would work the bugs out of Dtube and make it more consistently reliable. I feel the days for my channel on YouTube are numbered with one community guidelines strike against me, and I'd really like to use this as my main go-to censorship-free social media platform. Much peace, my friend.

Thanks man. There is no problem uploading. In fact...uploading goes surprisingly fast. The problem is that when I link my Steemit blog to any social media platform (twitter, facebook, etc) when the people bring up the blog post, they can't play the video if it is a dtube link. The have no problems playing a YouTube link.

Also, I've gone the compression route, and honestly, to have to go through another step takes up more time than I'm willing to spend. And if I'm like that, I can only imagine it would discourage others as well. Your thoughts?

I do agree the process involves too many steps and will deter new users. Hopefully though, it improves with time or another developer makes an alternative to DTube. It is just one of many websites to come because people will continue developing on top of the STEEM blockchain.

Forgot to say....I agree with ya. I have no doubt that the people at Dtube are working hard behind the scenes to make it the best platform it can be. Things like that take time and I'm sure there are some frustrations they have to work through to get it where it needs to be.

Fyi, this was the man that brought me to Steem from a YT vid a couple years ago which I promise I will do what I can to make better.

I think we are off to a good start. We just need to tightom down and secure rewards to curators and we will be in a much better state.

Thank you for helping so many people @fulltimegeek! I wish there were more whales like you. You are one of the few who actually do manual curating.

As an ocd curator I see so many newcomers who deserve some extra rewards for their articles. One of the most important things for this platform now is to have people who bring value rewarded in the hope that will also invest in this platform.

At the moment there is a #promo-steem movement going on, initiated by @starkerz and @stephenkendal. This movement is about getting steemit to the masses by setting up a reward system for Steemians who are promoting steemit. Here is their latest conversation with Andrarchy

I am appointed to set up a curation guild. Which I have been working on this week. I have created a community of promoters and newcomers, which I will make public hopefully next week.

If you don't have the time I could set up a new account which will only vote for quality promotion articles and new articles made by the community. Or if you could somehow spare some delegation that would be much appreciated, we don't need the curation rewards for it, it could be send back to you.

That's awesome man, I was wondering if some of the whales ever do this to help encourage quality posts and content to build the community more. I'm not asking you for this but I'd love to link up with some bigger users to talk about delegating steempower in order to help me prove a point to my subscribers and thus causing a lot of new users, once their interest is peaked.

My youtube is http://www.youtube.com/beyondtheweak and I'm looking to start talking about Steemit to my viewers in roughly a month once I can show my earnings for a month :)

I also think a referal system or big whales coming together to reward users per person they refer into the system would cause a lot of new registrations.

I wrote a response, deleted the response, wrote it again, deleted it again. Then I sat here for a bit, and this is as close as I can get to something coherent and appreciative.

Thanks for taking a chance on someone you don't know, and believing in the spirit and the process. I try my best to find those who are stuck 'in the middle' who've 'repped out' of minnow services but are still too new to really know what's up or make regular payouts. I try to find great content, kind people, and give them enough love to help them stay on the platform and be kinder to each other. You just supercharged that selflessly, so thank you, for as long as you've given me this kick in the ass for.

Then I ended up just choosing a gif that sums it all up instead.

@fulltimegeek, please consider delegating to some spanish speaking curators that are not associated to @cervantes. It's not like they are doing a terrible job but I feel like the power is too centralized. Just take a look at the trending page for #spanish over a few weeks and you'll see what I mean. Take a look at the tags for spanish posts too. People are sacrificing tags to get @cervantes' attention instead of giving life to new tags. People are spending way too much time on the Discord chat trying to get a vote from them instead of spending time on Steemit posting, curating and learning. Thanks!
