Today is more Hands On Labs as we continue to explore HOL-1811-01-sdc (vSphere v6.5 - What's New)

Today we continue to explore the details of vCenter Server Appliance Management interface.

1. Backup - the vcsa data is backed up to a file.
2. Restore - build a new vcsa, point to the backup and restore all info to new appliance.
3. Update Manager - includes a video that walks through the Update Manager on the vCSA.
4. Migration Assistant - This tools allows migration and upgrade of vCenter from Windows server v5.5.x and v6.0.x to vCSA v6.5

VMware clients

1. Host Client - old client replaced by HTML5 client.
2. vSphere web client (flash) overview
3. vSphere Client (new HTML5) overview

VMWare Security

1. vSphere Security: Encrypted VMs and vMotion
   • Add and create a trust between a Key Management Server (KMS) and a vCenter Server
   • Create an encryption storage policy.
   • Encrypt an existing VM.
   • Encrypted vMotion.

The security labs only provide an overview on vmware security. Don't fret because there is a lab dedicated to the new features of vSphere security in VMWare vSphere 6.5. (HOL-1811-04-sdc)
