MY VOCAB PRACTICE

The jury reviewed the evidence, abjured the police officer's statements and found him guilty of perjury.

  1. The jury was instructed to listen to the testimony and render a verdict based upon the evidence provided.

  2. The police officer committed perjury when questioned on the stand, his statements conflicted with his previously given affidavit.

  3. After reviewing the body-cam footage; the court abjured the police officers claim that he was acting in self-defense.

My Vocab Practice

  1. Jury
    A letter came in the mail requesting me to be on a jury for a future case.

  2. Perjury
    The defendant was warned not to commit purjury but did not understand the meaning of the word.

  3. Abjured
    During court recess both parties were adjured from discussing the case.

MY VOCAB PRACTICE #1

1- After several hours in the trial, the jury gave its verdict.

2- The verdict of the jury was determined based on the evidence provided, and concluded that the accusations against the subject were part of a perjury.

3- Therefore, the court abjured the lawsuit against the defendant.

  1. Jury: Jury get sick and the trial was suspended.
  2. Perjury: A person is guilty of perjury when telling an untruth or making a misrepresentation under oath.
  3. Abjure: Minister abjured of his charge at the church.
