Oops. So sorry. Thanks for catching my miss, and thanks for informing me. I'll try not to make the same mistake again.

My vocab practice

  1. I often have to correct spelling mistakes on comments before I press "Post".

  2. The editor asked the journalist to rectify their article before publishing it.

  3. The reason houses have a rectangle shape is that you can then fit more into a given area, resulting in greater profit for the developers.

  4. Should the government regulate rents to make sure they don't rise faster than wages?

  5. The incorrigible student refused to apologise for talking back in class.

  3. Rectify.
    The new statistician made some errors in computations that her boss needed her to rectify them at once.

  4. Rectangle.
    The water fountain foundation that is being built in the new park is of a rectangle shape.

  5. Regulate.
    The new forklift operator is currently in training on how to regulate the machinery.

  6. Direct.
    The squad members stood direct toward the flag pole during the flag exchange ceremony.

  7. Direct.
    Good leaders should how to direct subordinates as well as lead by example at all times.

  8. Incorrigible.
    The husband developed an incorrigible habit of betrayal toward his wife.

    When I was a kid I had huge problems remembering how to draw a rectangle.

  5. Regulate
    He needed to regulate the hours spent on the computer playing video games instead of studying.

  6. Direct
    He sent a direct message to the owner to ask for reparation.

  7. Direct
    The director directed the customer to me to help him out.

  8. Incorrigible
    His behaviour became incorrigible after he grown up doing whatever he wants, not what is good.

    Since you have insisted on things being correct and direct in order to avoid the incorrigible act of going off course, I made this really long sentence in hopes to rectify this situation.

    I'm sure if a talk long enough, I'll be able to dance around a rectangle.

"MY VOCAB PRACTICE".

Correct. I will correct the problem with the employee when I return to the office and have a chance to speak with the human resources manager.

Correct. I told the teacher she put the correct answer as B, when it was supposed to be C, so her answer was marked as wrong.

Rectify. The manager had to rectify the disastrous situation with the clumsy woman who broke the china set at the antique store.

Rectangle. The napkin was more like a rectangle than a square, so it fit well on my plump uncle's lap.

Regulate. The USA needs to regulate military-style weapons so they stay in the hands of the military.

Direct. The usher helped direct me to my seat before the curtain went up.

Direct. New York traffic cops sometimes direct traffic in the most unusual ways.

Incorrigible. It would not be a stretch to say that the US president is incorrigible and has hubris enough larger than an elephant.

MY VOCAB PRACTICE

  1. Rectified the mistakes made immediately before the market punishes your pocket
  2. Incorrigible move is vital to investing, means nearly total loss in capital
  3. It’s hard to correct the wrong decision when you have holdings, emotions get into your heard.
  4. The way to be rich is somehow direct, passively investing the index.
  5. Regulating the cryptos market may lead a great upraise to the price.
