The sanctity of the old tree in the garden was like a sanctuary to the stray cat who had been chased by the dog with the sanction of it’s owner. The cruel owner sanctified the dogs actions as it continued to bark up the tree.

No dictionary here. I'm in Thailand, and I moved here with only one large suitcase.... No space for any dictionary. :-(
