MY VOCAB PRACTICE

Meditation is best practiced solo and in a solitary location with my favourite solo artist playing softly in the background. My mind slowly becomes a desolate place, where I feel great solitude from the crazy world around me. Once my mind is completely clear, I am able to isolate my thoughts and concentrate on my soliloquy.

I think ISOLATE should have been on the list too, so I included it in my Vocabulary Practice.

  2. I really enjoyed the musical presentation, especially the violinist's solo

    This week I feel like I'm the solitary individual who can't seem to think of anything to write.

  4. Solitude:
    Those who have survived solitude like John Bunn have much to share with the general public.

  5. Soliloquy:
    I don't know if I've ever watched a soliloquy.

  6. Desolate:
    The desolate orbital station made Eric think of the time he spent in the laundry room to get away from his wife.

    His brother always wants to go solo whenever he wants to go to the local market and he thinks that is weird.

  2. Solo.
    The accomplished guitarist performed a solo in an open crowd near the coliseum of arts.

  3. Solitary.
    The temple has stood solitary for decades after it was vacated and abandoned by the monks for their expedition.

  4. Solitude.
    One of his hobbies is that he prefers to travel on foot and go hiking on top of the mountain to make and find solitude there where he attained peace of mind.

  5. Soliloquy.
    William Shakespeare, the well-known poet, enjoyed writing several soliloquies such as: Macbeth, Hamlet, and Rome & Juliet.

  6. desolate.
    The Himalayan Mountain, which is known as the highest mountain in the world, looks desolate despite the fact that it is home to many types of endangered species.

  4. Solitude:
    Sometimes people value their solitude more when they live in crowded conditions.

  5. Soliloquy
    Her sweet soliloquy at the beginning was touching and I saw some people in the audience tearing up.

  6. Desolate:
    As the couple drove through the desert they saw the beauty and rawness of the desolate landscape as the sunset lay before them.
