VIRTUE IS DWINDLING WHILE VICE IS RISING

According to oxford dictionary virtue is accordance with moral principles; conformity of behavior or thoughts with the structures of morality; good moral conduct. The same oxford dictionary went ahead to define “vice” in three simple words “a bad habit”.
Funny, these two words which have the same initials are opposites of each other. While one is remarkably rising, the other is dying at a fast rate.
Examples of these two words are:
VIRTUE

1. Love/charity
2. Patience
3. Faith
4. Hope
5. Kindness
6. Goodness
7. Humility and so on
   VICE
8. Enmity
9. Hatred
10. Anger
11. Murder
12. Kidnapping
13. War
14. Rape
15. Home violence
16. Child abuse and so on
    I used to love reading news paper, every part of the news paper was my favorite; but when I discovered and noticed that most articles and information of the news papers is about different vices like war, raping, kidnapping, terrorism etc. I just lost interest in newspapers especially those about killings and some dehumanizing stories and gained more interest in sport papers and religious and motivational articles.
    
    In the year 2013 and 2014, was still a fan of reading newspaper of any kind; reading from section to section; ranging from economics, politics, religion, finance etc. but war, terrorism, kidnapping, has now filled a large percentage of the papers published presently. One article that made me lose interest in reading news paper was a particular article where a man raped his own 2 months old child all in the name of ritual. I was so pained and disgusted with the greed and impatience of human beings. A lot of things and images to try and picture how the incident must have been like played in the mind and till today, most of those images keep flashing through my mind.
    

Who does that?
I mean having sexual intercourse with a baby! An innocent child; only monsters can do that.
When you read papers published recently, you realize that there are a lot of happenings that happened that are not suppose to happen and the funniest thing is that most people don’t even bother but see it as norm.
TELL ME……………..
Is there anything normal about a father impregnating his own daughter, a woman turning to a snake, Families selling or killing another family member?
NO! There is nothing normal about all these, normal is for you to be hungry, for you to sleep, for you to want to succeed, for you to love money.

Killing, raping, tyranny, and so on are not normal, but in the world of today they have been considered to be norm.
Before I became aware an sensible about how the world is, I have heard about wars, terrorism, tyranny, kidnappings etc. iraq and iran was the first war I heard and watched on television, isreal and lebanon, insia and pakistan which is one of the longest rivalry, syrian dispute, al-queida, the killing of sadam hussein which earned him the title " butcher of baghdad" and gaddafi and many more. All these incidents affected the world and and those involved and is still affecting most of them.

There had also been disheartening news on terrorist attacks from boko-haram, killings by Fulani herdsmen, Niger-Delta disputes and many more in Nigeria, slave activities in Libya, killing of blacks in south africa, which saw the death of popular musician Lucky Dube; the tyranny rule of Kim jung-un and some Islamic dehumanising activities. All these unpalatable and unfavourable news keep making headlines causing pandamomium and panic all over the world.

More than 50% of news these days are about one crisis and vice or the other. When you surf through newpaper or news in the internet, you would find that more than 70% of these articles are about vices whereas less than 10% are about virture and less than 20% is about none. The painful part is that the percentage o f vices keep increasing while the percentage of virtue keep declining.

You would hardly find news information on charity works, hospitable works, articles involving saving lives and putting smile on the face of others. Unfortunately, those of death, killings, robbery, kidnapping, wars, terrorism and many more are rampant and I fear looks unstoppable.
where is this world heading to and where are we going to with all this? Is ti that the wicked are becoming more wicked or the good have stopped being wicked or is it both?

My advice is simple, lets all come together and try to help this battle between virtue and vice, lets help virtue win this battle. The virtious should stop being silent because the opponent ae not being silent and we can see it in their everyday activities.
Vices are leading virtue with a high score of over a million to barely a hundred score for virtue [ i.e vice 1,000,000+ -virtue 100+/-]
“every good deed deserve another and ever bad deed will never go unpunished”, so why venture into a deed that will not benefit you?
Religion is not an excuse to take lives because there is no religion that preaches killing and hurting others; if here is, its not of God but of devil and the end result of such religion that is not of God is damnation of eternal suffering.
To a lot of war affected countries, there is no peace and future for the young ones, so what is the essense of this war that does not improve the economy of your country, peoplke, resources and environment but instead kill, destroy, distabilize and unnecessarily utilize peace, lives and state of rtesources.
Lets forget our differences and acknowledge our similarities and use them to correct our flaws. We can only do this with love.
My father used to say to me before he died “son, its easy to hate but hard to love, that is why people always choose to hate because he like easy things”
A 12 year old child in my locality was talking to her friends one day and said to them……….. “if you can love your enemies you have a big heart”
Its your choice to choose to save a life by loving not killing or ending a life by hating…………………………….
