Over the first 60 years of mental health science the disease model was followed which means people were more concern about curing the person suffering which left them no time to focus on enhancing the strength of normal people, this lead to disease model branding Psychologists as people who should be involved only when there is something wrong with the mental health.
Nurturing positive feeling is also equally important and this something Positive Psychology focus on. In positive Psychology is something which is

- as interested in building things in life as in repairing the worst
- as concerned with making lives of normal people fulfilling as with healing pathology
In the last 10 years a new science called positive psychology has been making tremendous progress by studying how Psychology can make life worth a happiness.
