日本の神奈川県厚木市のパチンコ店の立体駐車場で、駐車中の車約１５０台が燃えた火災でフォルクスワーゲングループジャパンは、同社の「ゴルフＴＤＩ」が火元だったと明らかにしたそうで製造時の不備で出火した可能性が排除できないとし、同社は２２日に「ゴルフＴＤＩ」など９車種６５１２台（輸入期間２０２１年２月～２３年１１月）について、国土交通省にリコールを届け出たそうなのですが自動車を153台も燃やすなんて恐ろしいですし仮に自動車の中でお昼寝している人などがいると考えたら恐ろしいですね。

Volkswagen Group Japan has revealed that the fire started in a multi-story parking lot of a pachinko parlor in Atsugi City, Kanagawa Prefecture, Japan, in which about 150 parked cars caught on fire. The company reported the recall to the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure, Transport and Tourism for 9 models and 6,512 vehicles (imported from February 2021 to November 2011), including the Golf TDI, on March 22.
