I DECIDED TO DO A SEASON REVIEW INSTEAD OF DOING SEPARATE EPISODE REVIEWS SINCE THIS IS ONLY 6 20-MIN EPISODES
THE ONLY EXCEPTION FOR ME TO DO SEPARATE EPISODE REVIEWS FOR ANIME/CARTOONS WOULD BE SHOWS LIKE YOUNG JUSTICE, AVATAR, AND MAYBE JOJO'S BIZARRE ADVENTURE
If you don't want "Spoilers," just read the first 3 paragraph after this sentence
I am not an old fan or a hardcore fan. I just found this on Netflix and when I heard Netflix was going to do a series it caught my attention. I am up to date with this new series and I saw some old videos back in the late eighties. I strongly believe that this new series brings old and new fans together
This series is like Star Wars and Transformers put together. That is my take on how to describe this show. It is like Star Wars cause you have outer space with giant space fleets, different alien civilization, and a powerful evil organization that has over the galaxy. Star Wars has the Galactic Empire or First Order while the universe of Voltron has the Galra Empire. The major difference is that characters in Voltron don't use the force instead they use giant robot felines the size of transformers that can merge into one bigger robot called Voltron. The concept is pretty fucking cool.
I enjoyed watching season 5. I don't know why the people behind this decide to cut the seasons from 13 episodes to 6 episodes after season 2 but it doesn't bother me because they still release the same amount of episodes yearly. The only way you dislike it or be uninterested is if you don't like the concept of this show. Season 5 shows we are getting closer to the end of the epic war between the legendary defenders and the Galra Empire with season 6 or 7 being last season of the series. Season 5 is an enjoyable roller coaster ride where it starts off great then amazing then great then amazing then great then interesting.
My Grading Rubric:

Episode 1: The Prisoner

Episode 2: Blood Duel

Episode 3: Postmortem

Episode 4: Karl Zera

Episode 5: Bloodlines

Episode 6: White Lion

This episode is very INTERESTING. Allura and Lotor go deep into the white hole to find a place that uncover more of their origins. It's like finding a lost city in the video game Uncharted. Also the episode raises questions like is there another lion? From the first episode it was always 5 lions but it seems there could be a 6th lion. This episode is pretty much adventure and ends with a cliffhanger of the team with Lotor being tagged by Haggar.
