I have a problem: my vote power has gotten so low, it's now less than 1 cent. Can someone tell me what you think would be the smart, as well as ethical, thing to do? The way I see it, I have two options:
Not vote for like a week, to regain the little power that I do have, and then use it mostly for comments of the people who patronize my own posts.
Keep upvoting the people I follow and appreciate, even though my vote will not be giving them the reward they do deserve.
I have been trying to be saving with my votes, but there's just so many cool people out there who I would love to keep showing my appreciation, but feel powerless to do so.
I think I'll just stop voting for a week and stick to commenting instead. Then I also won't expect other people's upvotes; that will only be fair.
I guess the opinion of a minnow shouldn't matter as much by sheer design of the platform.
Well, I'm having fun on Steemit anyway and appreciate it for the communication it has to offer, rather than it being a money making platform. I just feel bad for the people who have befriended me so far and deserve more than just a pat on the back.
Any thoughts, anyone?

I would say mainly option one until your SP builds up, but you should still be able to cast up to 10 votes per day without your vote reward dropping back down below the 0.01

Tough choices my friend; I guess it depends on how much time you have too, I've started to get a little bit pickier on the posts but also only have time to read for an hour or two a day which means I'll vote on around 20 or so a day, keeping my voting power between 50-100% - you seem like you're in a bit of a picckle, so I guess my advice is that you should just follow your heart!

You only need 24 hours for your voting power to reach 100% (assuming you have 0% and you will not vote within that 24 hours).

I know how hard it can be to not vote, but it's also quite annoying if your VP is down the drain. I'd say just don't vote for a few days and wait for it to recharge. I'm pretty sure comments are appreciated just as well :D

Good thought. I liked the word "Ethical" in your statement because very few people use it now a days. I request you to just read my articles, do not vote. I do not want money from you or anyone.
