Why Steemit needs CurrationsteemCreated with Sketch.

..........................................................................................................................................................................

sorting the good from the bad is called

Curation

as opposed to
.

automated vote harvesters

which are NOT selective.
they harvest the

pretty much the same as these bugs.
.

THUS

Automated vote harvesting harms Steemit.
.
it gives too much credit to the bad stuff
and not enough credit to the good stuff
it lumps the good with the bad.
.
It profits from poor quality
and
degrading the quality of Steemit.

This is my "Steem Curation Trail".
¿what do you think?
Regards

hi! steemian's, i like your post! Upvote and follow me. thanks!!@maulanailham

Hi @everittdmickey, definitely.

When you mention automated vote harvesters, is that from people using autovoting too carelessly or is it something else? (sorry still rather new to all the terminology).

In my not so humble opinion voting bot's have no place on Steemit.
(same reasoning for voting pools..or 'trails', so goes the euphemism)
they are for people who want to make easy money
and are willing to suck the blood from the system to get it.
'bots are a plague.. like lice....too many will kill steemit.
it almost happened once.
but..
if one person can make a killing using bots.
why not you or i?
ethics perhaps?
morality maybe?

some got it.
some don't.

^I agree with this!

There's 2 sites where you can just put the names you want your account to auto upvote without even seeing their content.
People usually tend to do it on whales because they get lots of upvotes...

This is actually quite true. The best way to grow Steemit and keep it viable and "good quality" into the future is for human beings to ultimately vote...

thank you...I'm glad you agree

True...and? Okay the first step is public awareness. Got it! :)

I totally agree.

Automated vote harvesting harms Steemit.

Well bro, couldn't agree more with you on this. This very same subject has been target of many of my harangues also. But well, I suppose It would be a matter of raising our voice louder to see if it finally reaches to wheeze into the appropriate ears.

Meanwhile, since you aren't following me yet and just to challenge your patience for a while. I'm gonna invite you to read my last post for which I would love to get your well appreciated comment and not so humble opinion on what you think about the focus of the article. }:)

Upvoted & Resteemed!

Cheers!!

ok...read...it.
the first thing that jumped out at me is irrelevant to the focus of the article..
the upside down question marks....huh?
very distracting.....

moving along...is that your own original artwork? if so then congratulations...it's very good.

one final thing...TL;DR...(note ...I did read it)..by that I mean there are TOO MANY points to discuss in this format. I learned that a LONG time a go. If an article has multiple points then any discussion splits multiple times. I believe the term is 'thread drift'.

now...to the gist of the article (some of them...see above)...

success? denmark guy agreed with what I said..'success is a life of lo-stress'....that is not the same as 'lo-exertion'...the stress I'm referring to is rather like that of a Explosive Ordinance Disposal Technician..."I gotta do this JUST RIGHT...or I'm dead."....or to put in other words...'if I screw up...my life, or worse, the life of those who depend on me...is over'.

living under that kind of stress is NOT success....success is it's absence.

THAT said...you asked me for my impressions..
I am NOT criticizing...these are just my thoughts.

Thank you very much @everittdmickey for your well appreciated reply mate. I am very grateful that you took the time to read the article. :)

the upside down question marks....huh?

LoL, yeah! those are just some particular antics of the Spanglish language.

moving along...is that your own original artwork? if so then congratulations...it's very good.

Unfortunately they are not. I can't draw not even a simple circle with a well rounded cane to save my ass. Every image used on my articles, usually only have the purpose to illustrate and boost the gist of my messages further with the hopes that said messages and ideas can be understood & digested beyond any shadow of doubt.

The thought provoking cartoons always comes from a worldwide very famous, notorious and well recognized latam cartoonist celebrity to whom I admire with deep passion and I am always presto to spread his overwhelming fanciful and unique job everywhere.
The rest of the pics, photos, images, etc. I use in my articles, comes from an already huge gallery of crap that I've been accumulating over the years in my HDs and I have not the slightest idea where they come from.

success is it's absence.

I couldn't agree more with your conclusion here. I knew your reply would add immense value to the discussion as anticipated. That's exactly what I was looking for and I'm very grateful to have your opinion on it.

Now.. ¿Are you willing to resteem my article to clog your feed with a different sort of sensible crap also? LoL }:)

I'll RePost it...
I don't resteem
selfish of me isn't it?

Hahahaha, yes sir!! In my also not so humble opinion, I was pretty aware about your selfishness and reluctance to resteem & RePost!! :D

I am reluctant to re-steem. I'm NOT so reluctant to re-post.
Selfishness is a virtue.
Thank you.

I suspect I'll have to dive deeper in that puzzle to find the not so obvious differences between both of those concepts. :)

aaaand...it's reposted.
you sound like my kinda guy
I'll follow along with you for a while.

Of course my well esteemed and truthful Cranky Colleague. Definitely, seems like we both belong to the same pack of old wolves who spread naked truths without decorations nor pampering and just as they are: ¡Naked Truths!

Therefore, you always sounded like my kinda guy also since the first day.
A ton of thanks for the resteem/repost (without having to twist your arm too much) and certainly lotta more for the follow. I bet you won't regret for have done such daredevil decision. }:)

you're welcome
