杜陵位于西安市三兆村南，陵区南北长约4公里，东西宽约3公里[1] 。是西汉后期宣帝刘询的陵墓。陵墓所在地原来是一片高地，潏、浐两河流经此地，汉代旧名“鸿固原”。宣帝少时好游于原上，他即帝位后，遂在此选择陵地，建造陵园。
