To be honest, I was just looking at the trending page aswell and was wondering why not every post with whale votes got downvoted. It should happen to every single person if it's a good experiment.
I'm not against the experiment. I feel it's good to see how things go when voting power is more evenly distributed amongst everyone. It just needs to not exclude anyone.

Yes, I was just asking about this on another post aswell. I'm really not the most knowledgeable person here about the inner workings of Steemit, the trending page just seemed a bit weird to me during this experiment.

Every one of my posts since this started have been flagged alot !!! The only 1 good post i had that got up to 5.00 dollars was flagged 4 times down to 2.00 dollars just because steem trails upvoted me !!! This is a witch hunt not an experiment and they are just haveing fun flagging everyone they dont like or anyone they want because THEY CAN AND NOBODY CAN STOP THEM!!!

I agree that this experiment hasn't worked out well, because not everyone was on board. If every whale would have stopped voting, things would have been different. Now with all the downvotes going on, it all feels unfair and unreasonable, while it might just give the same effect as we would have had with every whale not voting.
As long as the downvotes happen to everyone with whale votes, I can still respect this experiment. It just did not look like that yesterday.

Yes but some people were flagged way to much !! Their post was like 40. Or 50.00 dollars and downvoted to 2 .00 or less !! They flagged it to much in some instances 2 times would have been enough to be equal to the upvotes by whales ! But they flagged alot of times overboard 3 to 4 times , totally too much so many now are no longer posting , we have worked hard for 8 to 9 months on here and deserve good payouts once in awhile for all that we have invested into this platform , and we are not being appreciated for it ! 👍

The all-knowing whales! I agree this could have been better thought out, but I'm pretty sure none of the downvotes are a personal attack on anyone. I do understand how it can feel that way, though! They have some nasty side effects and downvotes always feel negative.

That does sound unfair and I'm pretty sure that wasn't how it was intended! Maybe the downvoting bot that got set up did not take into account that whale votes can have different percentages.

To be honest, one of the whale who upvoted that post is one of the whale who are flagging the other post (mine included). It's frustrating.
