A Company based in South Africa, Arcelor Mittal that maintain and repair blast furnaces have taken took around 400 of their trainee employees more than 623 feet in the air to test for their fear of heights.

Teaming up with Sea Monster the animation game developer they formulated an experience which simulated a moving platform lift and the feeling of wind speed, to see how they would perform at this colossal height, using amination opposed to a 360 live shoot, enabled the employees to be enveloped in their interactive experience completing basic colour and shape tasks.

Many of its trainees claimed and believed that they had no fear of heights, one of its trainees had bungee jumped! however, the experience left one 24 year old trainee holding her chest claiming she was so scared she wanted to cry! she has since requested a change of department.

Costing around $160,000 – a small price to pay opposed to loss of life.
