One of the founders of WhatsApp service is rumored to leave the company. Through his official Facebook account, WhatsApp co-founder Brian Acton has announced that he will resign from the company. The reason Acton left WhatsApp for wanting to start a new non-profit project.
According to Acton, the new project will be "a non-profit project focused on the point of meeting between non-profit, technology and communications." Unfortunately, he has not shared any further details other than saying it, though he has said it will disclose further information in some next month. But Acton has been known not only as the founder of WhatsApp, because like his colleague Jan Koum, he also has a major contribution to the continuity of the world's largest messenger services including some features such as end-to-end encryption launched last year. Of course with the departure of Acton, his position now in WhatsApp can not be replaced by one person only. Officials at WhatsApp have yet to make an official statement about Acton's departure but the company's CEO said they have no plans to fill Acton's position in the company that will be vacant after he officially leaves the company. Of course the company will be difficult to find a replacement Acton in the near future. We look forward to further news about Brian Acton with his new project.
Do not let spacious plans for a new world divert your energies from saving what is left of the old.
