I bought some Eggo waffles a few days ago, and the only reason that I bought them was because they were on sale, and the store had a coupon at the kiosk that gave me 75 cents off. Since the sale price was $2.38, I ended up paying $1.63 after the 75 cents coupon was applied.
Those waffles are hardly ever on sale at the grocery store I go to regularly. So, I guess they figured they'd have to drop the price so they could start selling more of the product.
