@WAFRICA PROMOTING STEEMIT TO ORPHANAGES IN AFRICA

INSTEAD OF GIVING THEM FISHES, TEACH THEM HOW TO FISH!!!!!

Steemit is a world on its own. We have artists, journalists, crypto enthusiasts, teachers, NGOs, footballers and all sorts of professionals on the steem blockchain.

Numerous articles are posted daily and curated. This, I believe oils the wheels of the blockchain.

It is no secret that the @wafrica is truly interested in charity activities. One thing that the @wafrica community is interested in is educating the administration of Orphanage homes on the benefits of Steemit and how they can show the world the progress that they are making, as well as the impact they are infusing in to their society.

I and @fatherfaith were given the mandate to tour the Northern part of Nigeria and introduce steemit to them. Thank God that the weather was on our side. The sun came out in all its glory and so we were able to go about our day business without having to worry about rain.

We visited four orphanages on the 23rd of July, 2018.

• VICTORINE HOME FOR CHILDREN, GWARINPA

• DIVINE WOUNDS OF JESUS CHRIST ORPHANAGE HOME, KUBWA

• ARK OF REFUGE ORPHANAGE HOME, KUBWA

It was interesting to see the looks on their faces when we educated them about the possibilities had to offer. It was hard convincing some but we got good feed backs from the rest.

One similar response that we got from the orphanage administrators that we spoke to was that they would to pass the information to their other partners before they could make a final decision .

The following day, we got a call from one of the orphanages and we have scheduled a meeting with the owner so we can make a final decision. I hope it pans out fine. Updates shall be given on the outcome.
