WAfrica Daily Post Reward For Tuesday April 10th, 2018.

in wafrica •  7 years ago  (edited)

Greetings from Lafia, the capital city of Nasarawa, a state in northern Nigeria. It's a warm evening here, I am @lordjames and i'm super excited to present today's daily winner on behalf of @nmalove who is unavailable today, she sent her regards and will be here next week Tuesday.

Before I continue, do you know that the highest waterfall in Africa by the total heights of waterfall covered is not Victoria falls? It is the Farin Ruwa waterfalls in Nasarawa, Nigeria.

The source of Farin Ruwa falls is found on the Nasarawa state, from whence it gushes down over the edge of the Nasarawa. During its descent from the Jos Plateau, the water drops a total height of about 150 metres (492 ft). This drop is higher compared to the more popular Victoria Falls, which drops a height of around 108 metres (354 ft) during its descent. - source, Wikipedia

Now, to the business of the day. The winning post for today is Re- Imagining Africa by @empressp.

In the past, some dark images were painted in the mind me people about Africa and unfortunately, these dark images continue to cloud people's view of Africa even when there are some changes and improvement in many sectors. @Empressp shares some thoughts on the need to re-imagine Africa, arguing that Africa is on the rise and is becoming a force to be reckoned with.

Wonderful words by @empressp, we hope to read more on how Africa can leverage the power of blockchain technology in solving most of its problem.
