The weather was nice again this weekend so decided to go out for some walks. Last year we got map of all the local forest preserves. We've slowly been trying to hit all of them.

This weekend we actually checked three off or list. Not all are great. Little this one... About all that was left was the sign...

The next wasn't any good either. But the third was awesome! We finally found a place worth wondering around. It had a nice trail and lots to see.

This one has more than one pond and the water actually looked very nice. At one of the spots I saw a beaver or muscat in the watter. It disappeared so quick I couldn't tell or get a pic.

I'm so glad the weather has been so good! I've been able to go on lots of good walks already this year. This last spot was a good one and I will have to hit it again one of these days.

Hope you enjoyed my walk, any one else get out for one this weekend?

Your photos remind me of old times when I walked long distances in trails, in Brazil.

I love walking the trail down to the campground. This morning I noticed some wood that had been split. I was curious as to what was going on.

It was off the trail in a rather inaccessible area that I hadn't really paid attention to much but I realized it looked like a tree had fallen into the undergrowth. And oddly it had sheared off its trunk about 20 feet in the air. I'll try and grab a picture later today to post.
