So me and the family went to Point Lobos State Reserve yesterday. It’s located a few miles south of Carmel, and about 30 miles north of Big Sur. It is one of many gems of Monterey County.
The name of Whalers Cove is because this little cove off of Spanish Bay was once a huge whale blubber oil operation.
The place is a very magical place. Walking into the park is almost like walking into a fairy tale...
The trees here are ancient!!
And when there’s cool trees, there’s always a little boy dreaming of making a tree fort....
