~ 122 ~ Walk With Me: A Hike in the Woods & Drive to Peggy's Cove Lighthouse, Nova Scotia

I'm Un-Hermiting! I'm Un-Hermiting!

IMG_6606.JPG

Okay, let's not get too excited though, I saw all the tourists and said hell no to getting out of the car. Still, I'm out and about, a whopping 10 minute drive away from my community, this is progressing nicely :)

IMG_6596.JPG

The North Atlantic ocean was surprisingly wild for how little wind there was. There were tourists, as always, down by the black rocks. No one ever learns, so many people have been swept away by rogue waves over the years that there was even a tag started on twitter: #moronsofpeggyscove.

The image above is of the #moronsofpeggyscove that I spotted today.

These Signs Are Everywhere

IMG_6608.JPG

My biggest fear is that one day they will put fences around to keep people away from anywhere near the black rocks. That would make it so ugly out there...

There are a lot of fisherman in Peggy's Cove.

A Hike With Carol & Diego

IMG_6557.JPG

You can imagine my excitement when I was able to capture a photo of Diego's face today instead of just his rear end (I have plenty of those ones). He's a really beautiful soul and I'm happy that he's always scouting ahead for us.

IMG_6565.JPG

Refuelling for marking extravaganza (doggy emails).

IMG_6540.JPG

Dappled light in the forest really makes me happy. Between that and all of the earthy smells I am in Heaven.

IMG_6541.JPG

It was really peaceful in this area.

A Metal Bucket Way Up in a Tree

IMG_6568.JPG

I think that's my new fuckit bucket. It's for when I give too many fucks, then I can just put them in my fuckit bucket and chuck it.

IMG_6570.JPG

FML there's a hole in the bottom...there goes my plan.

Don Poltryoni - Wave Shredder & Concrete boot salesman.

Omg hahaha!! What would I do without my daily dose of The Don? <3 <3 <3 So much Love TP!! <3 xoxo

YAY UNHERMITING! Me too, I actually left the apartment today and went litter walking! Go us!
Damn, I need a fuckit buckit too...
I love that tag, lol..

Omg YAY!!!! Leaving apartment = good! <3 <3 <3 So does that mean the snow has fucked off for good too then or do you guys get random snow in May too? I remember when I lived near the mountains that would happen, sometimes as late as the end of May...

Snow on Beltaine (1 May) isn't unheard of, but "safe planting rule of thumb time" here is mother's day (mid May) and it's usually roasting by the end of the month! Of course, Trail Ridge Road only opens (usually) by May 31st, with a wall of snow on either side, so the mountains are a different story!

Horray for both of you #unhermiting!! I am hoping the weather change helps everyone <3 <3 <3 It has been dark and cold for too long this year!! Hoping for NO MORE SNOW for any of us!!! 😁🤗

YASSS!!! HAHAA!!

Best tag evar!

Hahahahaha!! I use that saying frequently 😜

I need the same bucket as well, so I can put all my no fucks given in there.
Great photo of Carol & Diego too (which one is Carol and which one is Diego?)
I also just posted a #walkwithme post, check it out if you have some time =)

Ooh great I'll definitely see your #walkwithme post, I curate the tag daily!! Diego is the doggy <3 <3

Hahahaha amazing and great idea to share links to us all. We should all post links to at least 3 others with that tag... what a cool idea that would be. Thanks for this as your post is hilarious and gorgeous. Glad you got a picture of your dogs face. It's a bit like me getting a picture of my husband's butt, but I think I do that accidentally on purpose he he he. Oh god... we lose folk to the sea here.. they just don't realise how DANGEROUS it is!!

That would be fabulous if you started cross posting your favourites too! And thank you for adding such quality content to the blockchain, I appreciate you @riverflows!

Thats the nicest thing to say! Thankyou!!

ugh! you're killing me with these posts! I miss NS so much! We've been on an Iceland kick and haven't been back in so long! Although, the morons of peggy's cove pics are reminiscent of the black sandy beaches of Iceland where there are also signs (and ropes!) everywhere yet you see these morons risking their lives to get a pic of themselves doing some yoga pose out on a cliff...then you read story upon story about families being washed away! when will people learn. I hope it doesn't come to ropes for Peggy's Cove!

Oh god yes I know...roping it off just destroys the scenery, perhaps it would be better if people just bubble wrapped themselves instead!

Sorry you are missing NS, I saw some photos of Iceland from another friend who was visiting there...omg, just incredible beauty beyond words...

It spoke to us from the moment we got there (same as with NS)! And to think we only went because a friend had layovers there on her way to see her son in Scotland, and she said they were desperate for tourism money (it was the time their economy was really failing).

I'm really happy to follow you not to lose your posts...
I've also just read your post about occupation of palestine...
Thank you for your wisdom @lyndsaybowes

Thank you so much for your Humanity and care for those who are oppressed, much love and respect @bitpost!

♩There's a hole in the fuckit bucket, dear Lyndsay dear Lyndsay.... ♩

HAHA I'm gonna have that one stuck in my head now...

Diego really does have a beautiful face. I am glad that you were finally able to capture it! I don't know why, but whenever a sign is posted to keep stupid people from getting themselves killed, they ignore it! There was a nice pier in Port Stanley Ontario where the waves would invariably wash people off into the great beyond several times a year. They finally put up a very ugly chainlink fence. I hope to God they don't do that in Peggy's Cove! I loved the walk in the woods. Peace, quiet and tranquillity!

Oh my lord, no...chain link fence...and I bet it still didn't keep the morons out right?!!

Unfortunately, no! Apparently, the morons can't read and know how to use wire cutters!

Your charity project unstoppable and more peoples helping to them via monitoring by you. They have nice smile. Then we are smiling. All peoples are really lucky. We have great helping community in steemit. I salute you always.
Amazing professional captures in churches and desolate peoples.

Keep going with steemit.

Thank you, you keep STEEMing too @rahulislam, good to see you back here.

What a spot incredible views. Its funny I always wonder why the put up all these stupid signs pointing out the obvious. Then you watch the general public and it all becomes clear 💯🐒

LOL true dat, true dat :)

I really must stop reading your blogs about our beautiful province when I am away and in another province. sniff again. Today, I we spent the whole day in the city shopping with Oma and getting her more stuff for her Apartment, and getting things to fix up the house here. Tomorrow we are starting to fill a dumpster. It is very very hot. I was hoping to get to the cove and do a blog but alas you beat me. Now what does that say when the hermit beats me...YIKES. I miss the salty air. Next time I am going to bring some sea water with me in a jar. I love your pictures as always so beautiful. xx Cant fix stupid eh, with those dingbats on the rocks.

What a beautiful place mam...😍 the lighthouse is so cool. it's shown that you had a great funday. 👍

I'm glad you liked today's shots @sushovon002 :)

when you are free plz check out my blog once mam. thanks in advance.☺

I feel worried, but it is a very beautiful place but we dare not approach because a dangerous thing happened.
I was amazed by the scenery plus the white lighthouse made me remember the movie I had watched The Rings ..

I've never seen that movie, I'll look it up @lidiasteem xo I hope you are having a wonderful day!

Yes, put it in the bucket and it will run out. Let it go it's way. Good riddance.

HAHAA but should I feel bad for the forest to be leaving all of those F's there spilling out ?

No don't feel bad. I believe the forest can absorb all those F's and do good with it. :)

Uemm amazing, Can not be expressed in words, your journey is always awesome @lyndsaybowes <3

Thanks for coming along with us again @au7ia! <3 <3

Hmmmm... Maybe a fuckit bucket with a hole in the bottom is the best kind...
BEAUTIFUL pics! Congratulations on busting out of your box lol!

Yeah it seems to be a general consensus here that the hole in the bottom is actually a good thing, woot woot!! Thanks for the good vibes @longsilver xoxo I'm out for good!

@lyndsaybowes, I'm wondering to see huge waves in Atlantic ocean in Nova scotia. It's very dangerous and twitter mentioned peoples can die another location there. These days Indian ocean also the same situation. Walking this time you scary sea. But taken top class clicks. Finally amazing view indeed peaceful background & nice shots. Both Carol & Diego doggy's most awesome.

I'm sorry people are being lost in the Indian Ocean there :( People want to feel the force of the ocean waves, but often step too close, and the rocks are so so so slippery...

The fascination of wild nature.. I wished to hear the voice of waves hitting rocks.. I have a special interest to lighthouse. It looks very fantastic for me..

I'm really happy that you liked the photos of the day, thanks for letting me know @ellaironheart, I'm guessing there are no lighthouses near where you live?

Hi @lyndsaybowes i really interested of your post,,, and now I'll keep upvote, resteem, and comment your best or latest post. And i know this post is amazing @lyndsaybowes, and i hope you could help me @salim001..
