Novacadian's Nova Scotia Biking Tours (Part 2)

in walkwithme •  7 years ago  (edited)

Just like my recent code contribution to the blockchain and my first Bike Tour Post, this post is still raw in its learning. Bike riding, no problem. Video editting with Blender, a study in progress; as are so many things regarding steem.

This video is my second ride of the season through Point Pleasant Park. Thinking further, there was some snow on the trails on the first ride, so perhaps this clip should be considered the real first of the season. 😎

Point Pleasant Park has always been one of my favorite city cycle destinations. It is 190 acres on the south end of the Halifax peninsula with dirt trails winding through its natural beauty. Owned by the Queen (yeah that one) but shared generously.

So without further delay...

Come #ridewithme!

Yay! Nothing fell off this time!

Glad you're paying attention! 😁

So I take it your brother wasn't interested in reprising his previous role? Some of those guys in the park didn't get the memo you were going to be filming that day.

Yeah, it was definitely amature day at the park, being a Sunday. They only started allowing Bikes in on the weekend last year. Most of those folks seemed to have missed that memo. 😎

P.S. Bro makes another unsolicited appearance in some other footage that will probably make it to the editted version.

Ooh I loved it when you got to the ocean... <3

Thanks for hangin in there. It's the prize of the ride. 😎

I am giving a partial upvote and a partial that is awesome because for some reason i can not get the whole thing to work. I am going to try again. I love that park and have run through it many times. I tried watching the video both ways. I will try again. Super idea however.

During the weekdays it is all bikers, joggers or dog walkers. It's the weekend when the amatures come out. 😎

So the BlueNose Marathon runs through there and MEC uses it for races as well. I love also just meandering around there. Can taste that ice cream already.

Keep our eyes on the prize and know our priorities. 😎

WORKED BEAUTIFULLY ...GREAT BIKE RIDE.

Salted caramel looks like a thing of beauty. 😎

yes...would not pick it if it was not :)))

I love your camera @novacadian so clarity.how many miles did you finished by your biking?

That day about 10kms. My normal summer route is to continue down to the waterfront and back again. That comes to about 15k.

The camera was a surprise to me as well. Its in an old Galaxy S5 of mine.

Thank you for your #ridewithme. 😎

Raw ideas gonna be worst or best result Sir @novacadian

Not sure of your meaning, @cryboo.

There are tons of great scenic routes in Nova Scotia. Such an amazing place !

A lot of the old railway tracks were taken out in the 90's and have since been turned into trails. Hope to document a trip on one to a visit to @lyndsybowes and @hendrix22, who live 45kms away, in the near future. Keep an eye out for a post in a few weeks from now.

I certainly will ..... If you haven't been, St. Margarets Village is a beautiful place in Cape Breton, Nova Scotia.

Have been up to Meat Cove so must have driven through there. Are you from Nova Scotia?

Then you have drove directly through the small fishing village.

I'm Canadian ...
