How to Stake Tezos and Other Coins in Exodus Wallet

Although Exodus is primarily known for its huge range of supported cryptocurrencies and built-in private exchange feature, it is also one of the few wallets that allow users to stake their cryptocurrencies directly in the app.
For those that aren’t aware, cryptocurrency staking is the process of participating in the blockchain consensus system of a proof of stake cryptocurrency. Holders of proof of stake (POS) coins can ‘stake’ their cryptocurrencies, usually to a validator node or masternode, and in return, earn a yield for the trouble.
As it stands, Exodus allows users to stake a handful of cryptocurrencies, the most popular ones include Tezos, NEO and Ontology. The exact reward that these pay out varies by blockchain, and often varies over time, but typically ranges between 3 to 15% per year.
These can be staked directly within the app, and Exodus takes a small cut of the staking rewards before they are distributed to your wallet. If you are looking to get started with staking, see our simple guide below!

Update your Exodus Wallet, most issues occurs by outdated version:

Stake Your Cryptocurrencies in Exodus

  • For the purposes of this tutorial, we will show you how to stake your Tezos in Exodus. The process is pretty much the same for every other supported staking coin.
  • To begin, open up your Tezos wallet within Exodus and select the Advanced cog in the top right corner of the wallet to pull up the staking menu.
  • Click the Start Staking button to begin earning staking rewards. These will be automatically distributed to your Exodus wallet (less Exodus’ baker fee).
  • If you ever want to stop staking, e.g. if you are looking to send or trade your Exodus, simply repeat the above steps and click the Stop Staking button.
