Hi Everyone!

I thought I’d make my first post about me and give a little intro. So here I go :)

My name is Lauren and I was born and raised in the City of Los Angeles to parents of immigrant descent. My father is originally from Germany and my mother is from Peru. Now, you might say, “What an Interesting mix!”- I know. Who would have ever thought these two would have met in California at a place called Alpine Village and end up getting married and having three children? Crazy, huh?

Anyways, because of my father i am lucky enough to be part of the dual citizenship club. And I made sure to take advantage of this after college by moving to Germany. And then from what I thought would be a maximum of 1 year ended up turning into 4.5 years. And boy was this experience an eye-opener on so many levels.

Anyways, to fast track my introduction, I just moved to London this year to start a whole new journey. Which brings me to me and this account! I plan to use it to share with you all my future experiences such as my travels (28 countries so far) and milestones in life. Or perhaps things that i find of interest and feel like sharing! In the end, I just hope i can inspire some of you to go out and be spontaneous, live life to its fullest and live without fear :)

Cheers!

Oh and in case you were wondering.... German+Peruvian = Geruvian :)

Hi! I've never been to US, but I heard that it's usally quite good place to live. However you should visit Europe in the future, we have a lot to offer you. Nice introduction, you're intresting person :)

Hey! I actually live in Europe :) I'm currently living and working in London. Europe is truly a wonderful place to live in. Everything is so close and easy to get to. As for living in the U.S i think it depends where! West Coast is the best! But maybe I am being bias haha

Welcome to Steemit. I'm really wanting to get down to Peru in January or February. Cheers, @rebele93

Thanks! Appreciate it! Have you been to South America at all? Let me know if you want any tips about Peru. I have been twice and still have family there from my mothers side.

Great first post! So good I had to Resteem ;)
And 28 countries!!! Wooowerz I've got 19 so far on the passport! Keep up the good work and cant wait to hear about your next trip ;)

19? Thats not bad either to be honest :) What are your top 3?
Yeah Iceland should be quite the experience :)

Japan is my new fave!
German has got to be my second! With family near Hannover and friends in Berlin it always feels like home from home!
3rd place has to be Brazil! So many mixed emotions about that place. In Rio you see everything! I was 23 at the time so it was an eye opener!

I might have to do a graff project at some point in Iceland! If your feed back is good It might just make next years list ;)

I’ll definitelt keep an eye open for graffiti there.

And I’ve always wanted to go to Brazil. Need to find time haha

welcome here at steemit enjoy and have a nice day ahead.

Thank you! Hope so you too!!

I would like to visit LA at some point! Welcome to the platform and best of luck in future travels @darius1993 . We can meet in London for a coffee!

Thank you! Yes! We can talk about LA then and any future travels of ours

Welcome to Steemit, @wanderlustlk! 28 countries are quite a lot. By the way glad that you explained the meaning of Geruvian. Cheers! :)

How many have you visited? :) My next trip is in November to Iceland. So i am quite excited about that.
And you're very welcome, haha

7 so far but will add another 4-5 countries including Portugal for SteemFest 2017 at Lisbon this year. My plan is to visit atleast 5 new countries every year.

Iceland is huge on my list but I think it will have to wait another year perhaps. I want to see the northern lights.

SteemFest sounds quite interesting! Unfortunately, I will be in Iceland those exact dates. Hope you have a good time though :)
Yeah I hope I get to see the northern lights when im there. Although im not sure if it the best time. We shall see!

Good luck with that and safe travels!

Thank you! Appreciate it :) And Same to you if you plan any!

Hello, welcome to steemit!
I'm also new to steemit, I blog about my art, travel, health and photography, I love to share meaningful stuff! What are your hobbies?

Hey! Thank you! Welcome to Steemit yourself! :) I definitely love to travel (ive been to 28 countries so far), watch and play football, go to music festivals, enjoy a nice glass of wine or glass of beer! Many things :)

I look forward to your future posts! Just followed you as well.

I love to travel but haven't been to many countries what a paradox!

Welcome to steemit und liebe Grüße aus Berlin ;)

vielen Dank :)

That's definitely an interesting bio, Lauren! You're the first "Geruvian" I ever came to know in my life, haha
Welcome to steemit, I hope you will enjoy the ride :-)
Followed for future stories

Thank you! And I guess it’s an honor then, haha.

Funny story actually. When I made a joke once to a stranger saying I was geruvian...they responded by saying “oh yeah? I’ve been there. What a wonderful place?” And I had no other choice but to laugh and ask him to tell me more about this “place” ;)

Followed you too
