As a former military contractor, I say this meme is extremely accurate.

Howdy sir optout! Ain't that the truth! Can I ask what company you worked for?

I worked for CACI. I spent years repairing Raytheon products. Do you know Raytheon charged taxpayers $70 for a single hex head screw that would normally be $0.05 at Fastenal?

Holy smokes! I've heard of such things but wasn't sure if it was true. wow. Greedy suckers. And they could do that because they had the contracts. What is CACI?

CACI is a pretty big defense contractor. They mostly do IT stuff for the Navy, however they dabble in a little bit of everything.

Sounds like a typically scary government contractor. lol.

That business is so dirty. I'm glad I'm out of it now. The paychecks were nice, but the ass kissing required in the various government hierarchies was sickening.

Howdy today sir optout! I understand, it's all politics and who you know and who you suck up to isn't it?

Absolutely!
