AntiqueFinder - WW1 Letter Sent with the Princess Mary Tin

in war •  6 years ago  (edited)

Here is a wonderful peace of history from the first world war. It's a letter from the captain of grenadier guard to late Grenadier guard. The Letter is dated 12/11/19, which is 1 year after the war finished and shows the work that was needed to be done after the war.

The Letter say -

"I forward herewith Her Royal Highness Princess Mary's Gift Box (Xmas 1914)

Please sign the enclosed receipt and return to me as soon as possible.
A stamped addressed envelope for this purpose is enclosed"

The Princess Mary Christmas tin was given to the soldiers during the war. The tin contained cigarette, tobacco and much more. I will be doing post on this soon, so keep your eyes open.
