Russia Ukraine war
The conflict between Russia and Ukraine began in 2014 when protests in Ukraine led to the ousting of President Viktor Yanukovych. Russia annexed Crimea from Ukraine, and fighting broke out between Ukrainian government forces and Russian-backed separatists in the Donbass region of eastern Ukraine.
The conflict has resulted in thousands of deaths and the displacement of millions of people. Despite several ceasefire agreements, the fighting has continued, with occasional spikes in violence.
