Painting Miniatures: Project Chaos Dwarfs #14

in warhammer •  7 years ago

Used the same colour scheme as I used until now with the cold non metallics but in a bright environment.

After a long break I am back to painting as well. Been painting things partially but didn't really have anything finished up to post about. Found my motivation for it again and here it is another Chaos Dwarf ready.

This miniature is from the range of Forge World chaos dwarf models and is the Champion from the Citadel Guard Command group consisting of a musician, bannerman and a champion. I don't really have any pictures from the process this time but next post will come with loads of these since it is a big model that I am finishing up.

Colors Used:

Vallejo:
- Dark Sea blue
- Tank Brown
- Ivory White
- Japanese Uniform

Citadel:
- Abbadon Black
- Cadian Flesh
- Dawnstone

Here is a small teaser for the next big project - the Chaos Dwarf Flying Bull:

Since it is a big resin model some green stuff was needed to fill the gaps here and there.

And here is a some colour added to it. Stay tuned to see it finished!

Hi, nice post, glad to see another warhammer hobbyist. I've also started doing some painting tutorials on steemit. I've followed you :)

Thank you! And it’s nice seeing I’m not alone anymore, posting about warhammer. :)

Dwarfs are back, finally. Damn, you should teach me how to colour them, It's really hard to pick the right tone.

It's fairly easy once you learn some colour theory. Just read about the colour wheel and go from there on.

Colour wheel? Whats dat? Okay, I will read about it later.

Nice paintwork. Was hard the detailing part?

Thank you! With practice the details are quite easy to do I would say. There are other things that challenge me more. :)

Oh! I see... In terms of practice, I agree with you. I am trying to be a decent illustrator and practice is something vital for me. 😬

amazing stuff man. decent member to follow and see uploads on a daily basics :D
