How can we in the West honestly hope to "save" Syria?
We are going to bomb the country in order to protect citizens? How does that even gel?
How can we inspire countries to be like us when we have; massive inter-generational debt, radical feminism, political correctness, destructive family law courts, rampant drug and suicide problems, and the like?
America has been at war for 93% of it's history.
Saudi Arabia has been bombing Yemen for years killing women and children - no problem. Turkey has been disappearing dissidents for years - no problem. Assad of Syria is accused without evidence of chemical attacks - big problem.
Democrats want welfare and immigration in order to buy votes because they can't make a case for socialism.
Republicans want their military industrial complex in order to make money from the treasury in the time of war.
Republicans are willing to allow the Democrats their welfare and immigration in exchange for them allowing the war trade. That's the deal. They they disapprove and yet do nothing to change things because if Republicans attack the Democrats welfare state the Democrats will attack the warfare state in mutually assured cold war destruction. An ideological impasse in which the people of America and the rest of the world suffer.
They can only do this with the monopoly play money spat out by the Federal Reserve which "drugs" the population into believing the money is infinite when in point of fact it is just IOU's into eternity.
In the last 70 years the US has consistently lied as a basis to go to war with countries that are no threat to them.
War is war! At no point, in no place, under no circumstance is it justified. It is that simple. Because in the end, life is lost. And who are we to decide who leaves and who dies?
Any ways. When all is said and done, we can do only so much.
Thanks for writing this up. I think we all have a responsibility to speak up against war.
