Just look at the picture below, and let it sink in that there, on that table, are a just five watches, but together they are worth over 1 million dollars combined. The watches of Greubel & Forsey are on average $695.000, entree level is $220.000 and +$1.5 million for the even more expensive one.

So this was during Baselworld 2017, and it genuinely was the first time I was speechless during my week there. Let me try to compare my feelings with other events so you know how ridiculous this picture is for a watchnerd like me. It's like seeing 5 unicorns being ridden by Victoria Secret models that all want your ''D''.
To not lose the overview, I will highlight my favorite piece, the GMT! (Price +$600.000)

Firstly some general information about the watch, it's a GMT which tells you two different timezones (12 hour dial at the 10 o'clock). For when your side chick is in Miami and you're with the wifey in Monaco on a big yacht. You want some nudes but don't want to wake here up. It comes in very handy! Besides it being a GMT it's also a worldtimer, with the titanium globe and city display on the backcase.

This definitely not a watch for your average Joe, but that doesn't mean you can''t admire the level of finishing and artistry

If horology was a religion, Greubel & Forsey would be Jesus made out of platinum. That might sound a bit silly, but for me personally it doesn't get much better than this. It's hard to put in words how the feeling was of being in the some room as millions worth of watches for some reason.

Overall, I won't ever be seeing this again, I think, if I do I will take a lot more pictures and also a video for you guys! I genuinely love the brand. It being so innovative and wanting to be perfect. Just something to admire.

These are amazing and functional works of art. I can't even imagine how much a regular cleaning/oiling/timing service would cost for one of these....but then that's of no concern if you can afford the price of admission.

I love watches and want to get a display and have all different watches in it and wear a watch I like for that day, etc.
