On Earth there are currently about 1.5 million cubic meters of water, equivalent to 800 million Olympic swimming pools (and we are talking about the same amount since its formation)! If this water distributed evenly over the Earth's surface, the depth would be 3,700 meters.

Another interesting fact is the following: every second, the Sun (or other stars similar to it) produce water equivalent to 100 million times the Amazon water.
Each of us only drinks around 1,000 liters of water per year. Every year! By comparison, a 5 minute shower consumes an average of 200 liters.

Wherever the liquid water is found on Earth, life is found. Even if its temperature is near the boiling point, or the place is acidic until the skin burns.
The amount of freshwater on the Earth is somewhere below 1%. How lucky are we the Romans to benefit from springs of pure and crystalline water!
