Subtle Dolphin appearing magically in the middle of a conversation about dead dolphins

So earlier today I was describing to a friend some of the violent history that took place right here where I sit now.

As I swept my arm across the ruins and pointed north to where the new army base sits, I mentioned the strange effect the tides had and how they seemed to collect corpses of all sorts on the next stretch of beach.

Between Punta Panama and Punta Mosca is a strip of coast where I collected all of the skulls shown below.

There are two sea lions, two dolphins, and a sea turtle. The turtle looks like it was cut with a machete.

The fisherman unfortunately sometimes kill anything that eats fish. It's no use trying to educate them either. They are the real O. G.s of Lobitos and really don't care about your opinion or... You know, facts.

As we were discussing this I looked down and noticed my shadow had formed itself into a laughing dolphin like it was saying: "thanks for caring guys, you're alright". I am still a little sad when I think about the dead animals, especially the young ones. But this shadow made me smile a little anyway.

I reckon the best hope we have here in Peru is the same as everywhere else. Teach the children the truth, minimize your consumption, and reuse as much as you can.
