The way that Deshaun Watson is handling this whole thing is almost as embarrassing as the way that his lawyers are.
Watson's camp claims that one of the now sixteen women who have lawsuits filed had consensual sex with Watson and then tried to blackmail him for thirty thousand dollars.
Let's assume that that's entirely true.
I think that Watson's camp thinks that this is going to make him look better by having one of sixteen to twenty-four women having some bad motivations. If this part of the story is true, it should cast no extra doubt in each of the other cases.
The reality is that Watson basically admitted guilt. He has all the access in the world to massage therapy. His contract is $156 million over four years. He's the face of an NFL franchise. The Texans have the staff and facilities. He could go to resorts.
No, he decided to troll Instagram, exclusively for women, to perform massages that inevitably include the groin area. Now, he's admitting to having sex with one of these women. He's basically admitted that he was getting his massages done that way with some goal of sex in mind.
Watson is looking worse on a daily basis.
