WCAG , Web Accessibility , the ADA and lawsuits

There has been a huge uptick in lawsuits against website owners, developers who do not comply with WCAG 2.0, Level AA guidelines to comply with the Americans Disability Act. A very high percent of websites are not compliant and you will hear more and more about it as big companies are being successfully sued. This has also become a fast growing market as many companies are popping up to help businesses get compliant and/or have on record a 3rd party audit and recommendations to get compliant. One way to survive these lawsuits is to show you are working towards compliance in a reasonable way with 3rd party help.
